ABOUT ME
Hi, I’m Isabelle Chan, founder of Dokota Equine.
I started my riding journey at 9 yrs of age and since then I’ve owned a few horses and done a blend of training, coaching, rehabbing and now equine therapy.
My work with horses led me toward a holistic approach grounded in biomechanics, nervous system regulation and the way the body adapts to stress and workload over time. Rather than focusing on isolated symptoms, I support the horse as a whole. Promoting balance, regulation and efficient movement patterns that benefit every horse across all disciplines.
At the core of my work is MedKey a gentle non-invasive modality that works with the body’s natural neurological and structural pathways to encourage release, reorganisation and improved function. MedKey supports the nervous system’s ability to down regulate, allowing the body to respond and adapt without force.
Each session is guided by careful observation and the horse’s individual responses. Supporting improved proprioception, comfort and overall wellbeing.
My approach is calm, structured and respectful of the horse’s natural state with the goal of supporting long term comfort, recovery and functional performance.
I look forward to supporting you and your horse.
